Mission and History
Ringling College Library Association, established in 1975, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the ongoing development of Verman Kimbrough Memorial Library at Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, Florida, and acts as a catalyst for the educational growth of students, faculty, and community.
Each year students, faculty, artists, designers, journalists and community members make more than 100,000 visits to Kimbrough Library. In its 30+-year history, the Ringling College Library Association has raised more than $3.4 million, funding the purchase of books, periodicals, DVDs, hand-made artist books, research materials, on-line services for Kimbrough Library and for student scholarships.
Members of the Library Association can access and check out materials at the Kimbrough Library and receive discounts on Ringling College Continuing Studies classes. Membership has many others benefits as well - click here for Library Association Membership information.

For 27 years the highly acclaimed TOWN HALL Lecture Series has been the Library Association’s primary fundraiser. Sarasota’s premiere lecture series, TOWN HALL brings high-caliber speakers on a broad range of topics and viewpoints to Sarasota-area audiences.
